HOT ROD, RAT ROD OR GASSER The automotive industry has many different classes on the street level. The way I look at it is that every ass has a seat. Some people like SUV’s and some sports cars. Personally I would be proud to be riding in a classic “Rat Rod”. There several differences between all the Rods but the one thing in common is that it’s all American! “Hot rods” are typically old, classic or modern American cars with large engines modified for faster speed. The origin of the term “hot rod” is unclear. For example, some claim that the term “hot” refers to the vehicle being stolen. Other origin stories include replacing the engine’s camshaft or “rod” with a higher performance version. The modern definition of a “rat rod” is a custom car with a deliberately worn-down, unfinished appearance, typically lacking paint, showing rust, and made from cheap or cast-off parts. These parts can include non-automotive items that have been re purposed, such as using a rifle as a gear shifter, wrenches as door handles, and old saws as sun visors. A rat rod may or may not have extraneous decorations, but will always exude a great deal of personality due to the imagination required of the builder. Now shifting from 1st to 3rd a “Gasser” is a term from the late 50s and early 60s denoting a type of drag car usually visually characterized by an extremely high front end for weight transfer. and often the front suspension is the old parallel leaf spring and straight axle from a pickup, which allows that extremely high stance. At the end of the day it all comes down to character. There are no real “right and wrongs” in this scene, just love and individuality! (Please Pass Gas Responsibly)

PINOT MEOW! The holidays are upon us and we never could forget gifts for our pets, that something special under the Christmas tree. We all know dogs love beer, (well at least mine did) but I think this year lets include our other 4 legged fury friends as well and I don’t mean your significant other! Thanks to a company called Apollo Peak cats officially now have wine to drink after a long day of licking themselves. Now, before you have a hissy fit, bear in mind that the “wine” is non-alcoholic. It’s also actually made with beets, not grapes. Coming in delightfully flavors like Pinot Meow and Moscato, single-serving bottles go for about $12 for an 8oz bottle. The fun part of this is that everyone gets to enjoy a little Vino for those special occasions.
THE NEWEST SECRET Who is the newest and hottest Victoria model you ask? Hungarian model Barbara Palvin, 25, is joining the Victoria’s Secret family as the brand’s newest Angel. Palvin’s road to becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel has been a long time coming. She first walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012, modeled in multiple campaigns afterward, including three in 2018, and then made her grand return to the catwalk after this past November. And now she’s officially the first Hungarian model to join the Victoria’s Secret Angel family. She was originally discovered at the age of 13 in Budapest appearing in many magazine and working her way up. Her runway debut was for Prada and Louis in 2010. She’s been with Victoria for several years but she is in the process of getting her “wings” (i guess it’s like being a made guy). Either way we wish her all the best and look forward to running to see her on the runway! (Please Runway Responsibly Ugh..)
